Man Cologne
how many squirts of cologne should a man spray on himself?
I personally give 3 sprays….2 to the front of my neck and 1 to the back but I’m not sure if i’m puting on too much or not….i know each cologne is different but i’m wondering about the general rule.
Usually two or three sprays (one on each of neck and wrists) ought to do it, but it depends on whether you’re using a true Eau de Cologne or an Eau de Toilette. Eau de Cologne contains less aromatic compounds than Eau de Toilette, so you may need to use more, but don’t over do it – there are a lot of men in my office that douse themselves in “perfume” (as the ladies joke) before coming in.
Of course, aftershave has less potency than EdT/EdC and pure Perfume Extract/Eau de Parfume is stronger, so adjust accordingly.
Until you’re comfortable with how much is enough or too much, it may be a good idea to ask a friend’s opinion, and it’s worthwhile asking everytime you try a new scent.
